• Indian Armed Forces carried out ‘Operation Sindoor’, targeting nine terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) which were identified as launchpads for attacks being planned against India. Operation Sindoor was carried out in response to the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir (J&K).
• Pakistan launched ‘Operation Bunyan al-Marsu’ against India aimed at targeting military installations in India: Jammu (Jammu & Kashmir, J&K); Kashmir (J&K) and Pathankot (Punjab), Bhuj (Gujarat), among others. The operation was initiated in response to India’s Operation Sindoor.
• The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has successfully conducted release trials of the Long-Range Glide Bomb (LRGB) ‘Gaurav’ from a Su-30 MKI fighter aircraft.
• The Indian Navy hosted the 3rd edition of its prestigious Meteorological and Oceanological Symposium – Meghayan-25 at Nausena Bhawan, New Delhi.
• India has declared 2025 as the "Year of Reforms" in the Defence Sector.
• India has successfully tested its First indigenous micro-missile system, "Bhargavastra". It is designed to counter swarm drone threats. It is developed by Economic Explosives Ltd (EEL), a subsidiary of Solar Group.
• China Launches World’s Largest Amphibious Assault Ship "Sichuan" developed by People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN).
• DRDO developed "HIMKAVACH" Multi layer clothing system designed for temperature range of +20°C to -60°C has successfully cleared all user trials in actual operation. The clothing system will be very useful in military operations in cold weather conditions along the Himalayan region.
• The Indian Army and the Indian Air Force jointly conducted a comprehensive training Exercise "EX Winged Raiders" in the Eastern Theater. The exercise which was focused on special airborne operations was aimed to enhance inter-service synergy. The joint military exercise is part of the government of India's effort to push for interoperability leading to the setting up of an integrated theatre command in the country.
• The 6th Edition of Joint Military Exercise, "DHARMA GUARDIAN", between India and Japan commenced at East Fuji Manoeuvre Training area of Japan.
• The 18th edition of Indo-Nepal Joint training Exercise “Surya Kiran” between India and Nepal commenced at Saljhandi, Nepal. The Indian Army contingent is being led by a Battalion from the 11th Gorkha Rifles. The Nepal Army contingent will be represented by Srijung Battalion.
• "ACHAL", the 5th Fast Patrol Vessel built by Goa Shipyard Ltd for Indian Coast Guard was ceremoniously launched in Goa by Kavita Harbola in the presence of ADG Anil Kumar Harbola.

• Indian Navy has welcomed two new additions to its fleet , the stealth frigate "Udaygiri" and "INS Tamal" to bolster its maritime presence and operational capabilities.
