Hello Everyone,
This is Cadet Himanshu Bhadouria from Rashtriya Military School, Bangalore, and I’m excited to share my journey—how a simple dream became a straight recommendation.
I come from a humble background in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. My father, an ex-Army personnel, is currently serving in the Defence Service Corps and has dedicated nearly 25 years to the nation. Growing up as an Army brat was a privilege. The Defence environment ignited a spark in me to join the forces from a young age.
During his service, my father once came across a prospectus for Rashtriya Military School and introduced me to it—bringing me one step closer to my dream. I joined this prestigious institution in class 6th, and from there, my life changed for the better. The school’s motto, “Character is the highest virtue,” truly shaped me. The comradeship, discipline, responsibility, and endless opportunities at RMS played a huge role in who I am today.
When I reached 12th standard, I attempted the NDA written exam for the first time but couldn’t clear it. I was disheartened but remembered: persistence is key. Even after my second attempt, when I again didn’t clear the NDA written, I didn’t give up.
Determined, I joined Georgians Defence Academy and, with focused preparation, cleared the written exam on my next attempt. It taught me that your focus truly determines your reality. For SSB preparation, I again relied on Georgians.
At Georgians Defence Academy, the mentors never imposed their views—they helped us identify our strengths and work on our weaknesses. Daily lectures and group discussions packed with current affairs improved my communication and gave me the confidence to speak up. The motivation and feedback from Kunwar Pratap Sir and Deepak Sir made all the difference. They gave personal attention and genuinely cared about our growth, reminding us they don’t just coach—they help us enhance our personalities.
Thanks to their guidance and the supportive environment, I got recommended from SSB in my very first attempt. I am deeply grateful to my mentors at Georgians and to my school, Rashtriya Military School Bangalore, for shaping me into who I am.
My message to fellow aspirants: Don’t stop until everyone is proud of you.
