About the Entry Scheme
Under this scheme, selected candidates are inducted as Naval Cadets and undergo a four-year B.Tech course at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala. On successful completion, cadets are commissioned as officers in the Indian Navy with a Permanent Commission.

Educational Qualification
To be eligible, candidates must:
- Have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) from a recognised board
- Scored minimum 70% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM)
- Scored minimum 50% in English (Class X or XII)
JEE (Main) – Mandatory Requirement
- Candidates must have appeared in JEE (Main) 2025
- SSB shortlisting will be done strictly on the basis of JEE (Main) All India Common Rank List (CRL) – 2025
- Candidates must correctly enter their CRL Rank while filling the application
📌 Even excellent academics without JEE Main 2025 will not be considered.
Selection Procedure
Step 1: Shortlisting
- Naval Headquarters will fix the cut-off CRL rank
- Shortlisted candidates will receive SSB call letters via email & SMS
Step 2: SSB Interview
- Conducted at Bangalore, Bhopal, Kolkata, or Visakhapatnam
- Five-day testing including:
- Screening Test
- Psychological Tests
- GTO Tasks
- Personal Interview
- Conference
🔹 Change of SSB centre is NOT permitted
Step 3: Medical Examination
- Conducted as per 10+2 (B.Tech) entry medical standards
- No relaxation in medical standards
- Tattoo, height & weight rules strictly applicable
Step 4: Merit List
- Prepared only on the basis of SSB marks
- Final selection subject to:
- Medical fitness
- Police & character verification
- Availability of vacancies
Special Note for Women Candidates
- Maximum 07 vacancies for women
- Selection purely on common merit list
- Under no circumstances will women vacancies exceed 07
Training & Degree
- Duration: 4 Years
- Engineering Streams include:
