The Emergency (June 25, 1975 – March 21, 1977) was declared by then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, suspending civil liberties and centralizing power. 🚀 HAL Bags ₹511 Cr ISRO Deal to Build Launch Vehicles
In a major step towards boosting India’s private aerospace manufacturing, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has clinched a ₹511 crore Transfer of Technology (ToT) deal from ISRO. HAL will now manufacture Small Satellite Launch Vehicles (SSLVs), designed to deploy payloads of up to 500 kg into Low Earth Orbit (LEO).
SSLVs are crucial for launching small commercial, defense, and academic satellites. This deal signals India’s growing capability in cost-efficient, quick-turnaround satellite deployment, opening doors for global partnerships.
🧘 Vizag Gears Up for Mega International Yoga Day Event
The scenic city of Visakhapatnam (Vizag), also called the City of Destiny, is set to host the International Yoga Day celebration on June 21. With Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu attending, the event spans a 28 km stretch along Beach Road—from Kali Matha Temple (RK Beach) to Bheemunipatnam.

🌌 Axiom-4 Mission with Indian Astronaut Delayed Again
NASA has delayed the Axiom-4 launch—originally set for Sunday—which includes Indian astronaut Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla. The postponement follows ongoing evaluations of the International Space Station’s Russian segment, which recently underwent critical repairs.
