Hello everyone,

I’m Cadet Nishant Pandey of Rashtriya Military School, Dholpur, and I’d like to share my story of clearing the SSB in my very first attempt.

My father served in the Indian Army, so I grew up experiencing Army life and always aspired to follow in his footsteps. This inspiration led me to join RMS Dholpur, where I got opportunities to learn various games and participate in co-curricular activities. I focused on academics as well, and by the time I started preparing for my written exam, I was confident about clearing it. With this certainty, I began preparing for my SSB in advance.

As soon as the written results were out, I joined Georgians Defence Academy on the recommendation of my seniors. Under the mentorship of K P Sir and Deepak Sir, I discovered my strengths and areas to improve. I focused on psychology preparation and lecturette practice, analyzing my performance daily and working to build my confidence.

My SSB was scheduled at 1 AFSB Dehradun from 14th to 19th January 2019. I stayed in touch with Deepak Sir during the process, and his guidance kept me motivated and on track. Thanks to my consistent efforts and the support from my parents, friends, Georgians family, K P Sir, and Deepak Sir, I cleared my SSB in my first attempt.

I truly believe that with full dedication and determination, you can achieve your goals. Stay focused, keep improving, and success will follow.
