Hello friends,

My name is Trilok Singh, and I am from Jodhpur, Rajasthan. I completed my schooling at Army Public School, Jodhpur. Inspired by my father, I was always keen to join the armed forces as an officer.

During my 12th class, I began preparing for the NDA written exam, but couldn’t clear it on my first attempt. I persisted and cleared the next exam. On a friend’s recommendation, I enrolled at Georgians Defence Academy in Delhi for my SSB preparation.

The atmosphere at the academy was fantastic, filled with helpful aspirants and supportive mentors. Deepak Sir and KP Sir played a key role in my journey—they helped me understand myself better and gave me a clear understanding of the entire SSB process. What I appreciated most was the individual attention I received. Rather than imposing ideas, my mentors always encouraged me to share my own responses and perspectives.

I couldn’t clear my first SSB attempt, but I didn’t lose hope. I remained in contact with my mentors, kept working on my weaknesses, and continuously improved on all aspects. As they say, hard work pays off—I finally got recommended from 2 AFSB Mysuru in my 5th attempt!

I am incredibly grateful to my mentors for guiding and supporting me through tough times, and I’m proud to make my parents happy. My message to all aspirants: never give up, keep improving and working hard, and always seek the right guidance.
