Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Mansukh Mandaviya launched the ‘My Bharat’ mobile application, aimed at enhancing youth engagement in nation-building initiatives and government programs.

🔹 Objective: To connect young citizens with volunteering, skill development, and employment opportunities under the My Bharat digital platform.

🔹 Background: The My Bharat portal was first introduced in 2023 to replace the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan’s older framework.

💠 2. Ashwini Vaishnaw launches Digital University Platform

Minister for Education and IT, Ashwini Vaishnaw, unveiled the Digital University platform, designed to integrate multiple universities and online learning platforms under one national framework.

💠 3. India implements Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty (MLAT) with Singapore

India officially implemented its Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty with Singapore, strengthening cooperation in criminal investigations, extradition, and sharing of legal evidence.

🔹 Importance: The MLAT enhances India’s ability to combat cross-border crimes such as money laundering and cyber fraud.

🔹 Note: India has similar treaties with over 40 nations, including the USA, UK, and France.

💠 4. DRDO to test India’s new Hypersonic Missile ‘Dhvani’ by end of 2025

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is set to test India’s first indigenous hypersonic missile system ‘Dhvani’ by the end of 2025.

🔹 Speed: Expected to exceed Mach 5 (five times the speed of sound).

🔹 Significance: The test would mark India’s entry into the elite group of nations — the USA, Russia, and China — with operational hypersonic capabilities.

💠 7. Joint Naval Exercise ‘KONKAN 2025’ between India and UK begins

The Joint Naval Exercise KONKAN 2025 commenced between the Indian Navy and the British Royal Navy on India’s west coast.

🔹 Objective: To enhance maritime interoperability, anti-submarine warfare, and naval communication systems.

🔹 Background: The Konkan series of exercises began in 2004 as part of India–UK defence cooperation.

💠 8. India’s only Mud Volcano erupts on Baratang Island after 20 years

After two decades, India’s only active mud volcano located on Baratang Island, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, has erupted.

🔹 Cause: Geothermal and tectonic activity in the region.

🔹 Fact: The last recorded eruption occurred in 2005, and the site is a known tourist and geological research attraction.
