NHAI and ISRO Launch National Highway Green Cover Index
The National Highways Authority of India in collaboration with the Indian Space Research Organisation launched the National Highway Green Cover Index. The index uses satellite imagery and geospatial analysis to monitor and assess green cover along national highways. It aims to promote sustainable infrastructure development, improve roadside plantation monitoring, and support India’s environmental conservation goals.
